Richard Payten Richard Payten, together with Andrew Mackie, is the Joint Managing Director of Transmission Films, a Sydney based film distributor. Payten previously ran Dendy Films for six years before launching Transmission Films in partnership with Paramount. Payten and Mackie have released and acquired over 100 films, grossing more than $150m box office in Australia and New Zealand, earning 30 Oscar nominations, 4 Palme d’Ors and 170 AFI Award nominations including the titles THE KING'S SPEECH, BOY, BENEATH HILL 60, CHARLIE & BOOTS, BROKEN EMBRACES, THE WHITE RIBBON, CHE, SAMSON & DELILAH, BALIBO, AN EDUCATION, MADE IN DAGENHAM CONTROL, THE WORLD’S FASTEST INDIAN, GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK, VOLVER, ROMULUS MY FATHER, LOST HIGHWAY, THE PAINTED VEIL, METALLICA: SOME KIND OF MONSTER, SECRETS & LIES, SUPER SIZE ME, SWIMMING POOL, DEAD MAN, RABBIT PROOF FENCE, LOOK BOTH WAYS and STRICTLY BALLROOM.
